Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Staff Power & Distribution Subsystem Electrical Engineer. This position is located in Roy, UT and supports the Sentinel program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
What You’ll Get To Do:
Serve as a system engineer developing models for battery and power distribution components on the Aerospace Vehicle.
The individual will get to interface with many integrated product teams to gather performance estimates, electrical models, and measured data; then incorporate the relevant power characteristics into the system SPICE model.
The scope spans requirements, design, development, analysis, verification, and production of HW, plus laboratory and flight test support.
This position reports directly to the Power & Distribution Lead.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
Job Qualifications:
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Staff Electrical Engineer: Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) discipline and 14 years of experience; or 12 years with Master’s Degree; or 9 years of experience with a PhD.
Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance (at time of application) with an investigation date within the last 6 years.
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance
Must have the ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance
Experience developing electrical power system models in Spice tool
Familiarity with aerospace standards for electrical power compliance
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Experience working in an Agile team
Experience participating in or leading a subcontract management team
Experience with DOORS requirements management tool
Experience performing battery chemistry trades
Experience developing and/or performing verification and/or test plans and procedures
Experience preparing for and participating in design reviews
Experience working cooperatively with professionals representing multiple engineering and non-engineering disciplines
Excellent communication skills – verbal, written, and presentation
Experience designing and testing to compliance standards such as SMC-S-016, MIL-STD-461
Experience identifying requirements for an electrical subsystem or battery
Experience designing and/or implementing a battery for a vehicle
Experience designing and/or implementing an electrical power system for a vehicle
